Happy New Year 2017… Just Another Day…

TODAY is the second day of the 2017.

And I have been working throughout…  Since Christmas Day, saved for Boxing Day and Dec 30. So understandably I didn’t feel any festivities ambiance or anything.

Except for one thing… I have this still-unfulfilled craving of having succulent Turkey slices slathered generously with cranberries sauce. The one that I had many years ago in the dead of winter in Glasgow…

Unlike when I was younger, where Christmas and New Year were the ultimate and long-awaited reasons to party and get silly! And burnt hole in my pocket!

I have noticed how my Facebook friends talked about how 2016 has been and their new year resolutions and wishing each other Happy New Year merrily, I didn’t have that urge to do the same.

Not because I am sad or feeling low or anything of that sort…

Nor am I interested to reflect how 2016 has been for me. Not that I am ungrateful for all the good tidings came my way in the recent months. I am forever grateful and thankful.

Only six months ago I wasn’t sure if I could put food on my table. Or if I could start paying my piling bills slowly. Let alone the question if I could afford supporting my son at college (which I must…at any cost).

But here I am… writing this post in the safe and comfort of my office. In between editing news pieces…

I have a lot to be thankful and grateful for… I do!

There were so many changes took place in my life in the last 365 days of 2016.

From the lowest despair and heartbreak, sleepless nights… to jubilation of nailing my dream job in August after months of rejection.

As some said, you lose some, you gain some…

Life is like a cycle. One day you are on top and the next day you may be at the bottom… No matter how high we feel, there’s always the bottom awaits you if you are not careful.

Happy New Year 2017 guys and Have a Plenty of Love, Happiness  and Laughter. Have Blessed Year ahead… A
